Learn the addictive art of journalling – alter pages of a sketchbook with gesso, paints, gelli-plate prints and block printing. Next cut out pictures and images from magazines, old books, maps, wallpaper, wrapping paper etc. then doodle with permanent markers and paint pens to make the images your own and incorporate them into your page. Add text – poems, sayings, or your own feelings – using interesting new fonts and lettering styles, then finish your pages with pan pastels to add highlights. Once you start journalling you won’t be able to stop!
I can teach you how to make your own paper incorporating fibres and natural materials.
Paper cutting is a traditional Polish craft which can be used to make stunning cards and decorations. Paper can be torn, glued, painted, distressed, layered to make wonderful surfaces, which can then be block printed, doodled on using permanent pens, sewn into or pleated and folded.
Paper can be altered to make cards, books, bunting, mobiles, art pieces – the list is endless!
